Parging

Parging is the process of applying a layer of special concrete designed for lower, vertical surfaces to the outside of a wall, usually the exterior foundation of a house.

Preparation

It’s essential to knock off any existing loose parging or any loose parts of the wall and thoroughly clean the area so that the new materials will properly adhere to the wall.

This will make the entire section last much longer than clay bricks and will lighten up to a light concrete-gray look when fully cured.

Finishing Touches

After a generous layer (sometimes more than one is required to make it uniform and flush) of parging is applied, we use a sponge to give it a nice textured finish.

This will make the wall sealed and protected from the elements. It will cure to a concrete-gray look when fully cured.

Parging is a skilled part of the masonry trade. With our years of experience we can create a clean, sealed and attractive surface of parging.
