We fully clean and prepare the area before applying a sponge finish
What is parging?
Parging is to apply a thin layer of concrete to the outside of a wall, usually the exterior foundation of a house because that area gets beat up by the weather the most.
First, you need to knock off any existing loose parging or any loose parts of the wall and to thoroughly clean the area so that the new materials will properly adhere to the wall.
After a generous layer (sometimes more than one is required) of parging is applied, use a sponge to give it a nice textured, even and great looking finish. This will make the entire section last much longer than clay bricks and will lighten up to a light concrete-gray look when fully cured.
